Applications for payment in respect of minimum notice entitlements based on determinations by the Employment Appeals Tribunal to 678 employees of Clover Meats Limited (in receivership) have been processed by my Department under the terms of the Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) Act, 1984, and payment has been issued to the receiver of the company for distribution to the employees concerned. Two other applications for payment in respect of minimum notice awards are outstanding. In one case payment will be made in the near future and in the other further inquiries are being made in regard to entitlement.
