I am advised by the Central Statistics Office who have responsibility for compiling statistics on the numbers employed in manufacturing industry that the latest official data on manufacturing employment in County Donegal is contained in the Census of Population 1981. However, I would inform the Deputy that the Industrial Development Authority carries out an annual employment survey for internal planning purposes and that this survey shows the following data in regard to manufacturing employment for the years 1982, 1983 and 1984 in County Donegal.
