asked the Minister for Communications the reason for his Department's undue delay in authorising the expenditure of money allocated in the 1985 budget for the car/coach customs clearance building at Rosslare Harbour as authorisation is awaited since May this year according to CIE.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 83 and 84 together. Approval has recently been granted for expenditure of £300,000, being the balance of the 1985 allocation, on the proposed customs clearance building at Rosslare Harbour and CIE have been so informed. The plans for the building were submitted to my Department by CIE on 27 August, 1985 and not in May 1985. I do not accept that there has been any undue delay by my Department in the matter.
