Vol. 361 No. 5

Written Answers. - Maigue (Cork) River.

92.

asked the Minister for Finance when it is likely that the Board of Works will clean the Maigue river in the Charleville, County Cork, area as far as Belisle Bridge, through Monabricka, Kilmore, Kilcolman, main north and also one of its tributaries at Coolsmattane, Charleville.

A proposal to include the section of the Maigue River in question in the Maigue catchment drainage scheme was examined by the Commissioners of Public Works and found to be uneconomic. Some channels serving the Coolsmattane area are being examined to determine if their inclusion in the scheme would be warranted.
