The following third level colleges operate their admission procedures through the Central Applications Office: University College, Dublin; University College, Cork; University College, Galway; St. Patrick's College, Maynooth; Trinity College, Dublin; National Institute of Higher Education, Dublin; National Institute for Higher Education, Limerick; Thomond College of Education, Limerick.
Notes: (1) Dublin Institute of Technology operates through CAO for admission to certain degree courses only. Admission to all other courses in these colleges is outside the CAO. (2) All the other recognised third level colleges are outside the ambit of the CAO.
