Contract documents submitted by Ballina Urban District Council for the Ballina town water supply scheme, stage 3, are under consideration in my Department. The scheme is being considered in the context of the overall sanitary services programme having regard to the number of schemes in progress or planning for which finance must be provided. I expect to be in a position very shortly to issue a decision on this scheme.
