This application for the £1,000 new house grant was rejected because it appeared to be in respect of a house which had previously been occupied by a person other than the applicant for the grant. Further information in this case is being sought from the applicant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant will be approved for a group water scheme (details supplied) in County Galway; the further stages of planning which have to be completed; and when the cheque will be paid to the organisers of the scheme.
The design for this scheme has been referred to Galway Councy Council for approval and the allocation of grants for the scheme will be considered further as soon as this approval is received.

A new house grant will be paid to the person named when an inspection establishes that the house is complete and occupied and complies with all the conditions of the scheme. A further inspection will be carried out shortly.
