I am happy to be able to tell the Deputy that the renal dialysis unit at Limerick regional hospital will be opened within the next two or three weeks. The next unit will require a considerable allocation of resources and for some time now the Mid-Western Health Board have been examining ways of providing these resources from within their budget. At a recent board meeting the members adopted a series of measures which now enable the unit to be opened.
