Vol. 362 No. 5

Written Answers. - Galway School.

150.

asked the Minister for Education if she will give an assurance that four classrooms of the proposed new national school for Tirellan Heights, Headford Road, Galway will be available for use by September 1986 and if she will make a statement regarding the proposed construction programme for a new school.

151.

asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the construction of a new national school at Tirellan Heights, Galway.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 150 and 151 together. My Department have received copies of the working drawings for the proposed new school at Tirellan Heights, Galway, which had been prepared by the school authority's architect and have authorised the preparation of the bills of quantities. When the bills of quantities have been received and examined the question of inviting tenders for the project will be considered. It is not possible to say at this stage when building work may commence or when the new school may be available.
