Limerick East): I am informed by the Garda authorities that the information sought by the Deputy is not available as felonies are not recorded as a separate category in the crime statistics and it would not be possible to compile the information without the expenditure of a disproportionate amount of Garda time and resources.
Detailed statistical information on crime which may be of assistance to the Deputy is available in the annual reports on crime prepared by the Garda Commissioner, copies of which are available in the Library.
