The whole area of fish quality control will be dealt with in the forthcoming White Paper on the Fishing Industry which I hope to issue in the near future.
Is the Minister aware of the fundamental importance of quality control in this industry, both in the fishing and in the processing? Will he allocate sufficient money to appoint additional quality control officers?
When the proposed White Paper is considered I am sure that these requirements which the Deputy has put forward as being necessary will be part of that consideration and that the policy will include those concerns which he has enunciated.
