asked the Minister for Agriculture when a suckler grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Clare; and the reason for the delay in such payment.

The person named has been paid his beef cow headage and suckler cow premium grants already. These payments were made with many others and there was no particular delay in the case.

74.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not yet been paid a calf subsidy.

The person named has been paid her calf premium and suckler cow grants already.

75.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork was not paid feed vouchers even though she sent an application to his Department in Dublin in error, as surely she cannot be deprived of a feed voucher as a result of his Department not sending the appropriate forms to the farm development services office in Mallow, County Cork.

My Department does not have a record of an application under the feed voucher scheme from the person concerned. Application forms submitted in error to my Department's headquarters were forwarded to the appropriate office of the farm development service of my Department.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid his headage and calf premium grants.

The person named will be paid his cattle headage and calf premium grants shortly. He was deemed ineligible for the 1985 suckler cow scheme as his off-farm income was more than 50 per cent of his total income.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid his headage grant and calf premium.

The person named will be paid his cattle headage and calf premium grants shortly.

78.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the total amount of money paid out under the silage subsidy for first time silage making, introduced last year; and the total number of persons to whom payments were made.

To date payments amounting to £4.7 million have been made to over 25,000 applicants for silage subsidy. Approximately £1.3 million in subsidy remains to be paid under the scheme.
