The Garda authorities have informed me that they have now completed a detailed review of the policing arrangements for Donaghmede. They are at present considering the findings of this review and hope to be in a position to forward their recommendations in the matter to my Department shortly. Pending receipt of these recommendations, I am not in a position to indicate whether a Garda station will be established in Donaghmede.
If it is not decided to establish a Garda station would the Minister consider the establishment of a police clinic there?
My answer to that question might be prejudicial to the outcome of the original question. It is a suggestion I will bear in mind as part of my overall consideration.
