Vol. 365 No. 7

Written Answers. - Rubber Bullets Stockpile.

70.

asked the Minister for Defence if there is a stockpile of rubber bullets in the Irish Republic; if so, where exactly these weapons are being stored, whether in one or more centres in the Republic; the number of rubber bullets being stored; the regulations governing their use; who is trained in the use of them; and if the Army Press Office statement, quoted in a media report (details supplied) that "there are insufficient stocks of rubber bullets to carry out training", is correct.

It would be contrary to the requirements of security to furnish information on this subject additional to that already supplied in reply to Questions Nos. 26, 27 and 28 on 22 November 1984.
