Sufficient funds have already been allocated in Brussels to meet the Community's contribution to the field drainage of 150,000 hectares provided for under the western drainage scheme.
The intention is that drainage in the west should in future be provided for in the western package and I have included a proposal to this effect in the review of the package which was forwarded to the Commission on 8 April.
