asked the Minister for Education the present position with regard to the provision of the proposed new school at Allen, Kilmeague, Naas, County Kildare; the stage which the planning process is at present; the number of remaining stages before the project goes to tender; whether any difficulties are envisaged; when it will go to tender; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A sketch scheme for the proposed new national school at Allen, Kilmeague, Naas, County Kildare, has been approved by my Department. Evidence of satisfactory title to the site is now awaited and when this has been furnished to the Department a grant will be formally sanctioned and the project can then proceed to preparation of contract documents. It is not possible at this stage to say when the project may go to tender.
