Vol. 365 No. 14

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

63.

asked the Minister for the Environment the exact works and the amount of money being approved under the house improvement grant scheme for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

This application was among those covered by the dispensation from the prior inspection requirement. Notification issued to the applicant authorising him to proceed with the work in respect of which his application was made. He has since requested an inspection before commencing work and an inspection is being arranged with a view to determining the amount of grant to be approved.

64.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have payment of a house improvement grant made to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. However, an application has been received from a person of the same name and from a broadly similar address. In that case notification of completion of the works approved has not been received.

65.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny where the work has been inspected and passed.

The grant will be paid within the next few weeks.

66.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an inspection was carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and when it is intended to have his new house grant paid.

An inspection in this case was carried out on 21 March 1986 and the grant will be paid within the next few weeks.

67.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an application form was received for a house improvement grant from a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and when he expects to be in a position to issue approval to the applicant.

An application under the 1981 house improvement grants scheme was received on 10 April 1985, but the applicant subsequently exercised his option to apply under the new scheme. An inspection has recently been carried out and grants will be approved shortly for the building of an extension and the carrying out of repairs to the fabric of the house.
