asked the Minister for Education if he will sanction the building of a new extension to St. Wolstan's school, Celbridge, County Kildare; and if, in view of the serious accommodation problems in this school, he will ensure that the extension is built as a matter of urgency.

The examination of the revised outline sketch scheme (stage 2 of planning) is nearing completion in my Department. Construction of this extension cannot begin until architectural planning has been completed. When that stage will be reached depends primarily on the rate of progress achieved by the design team appointed by the school authorities. It would not be possible to indicate now when construction will begin.
