Limerick East): I am aware of the unemployment situation in the Cobh area. As a consequence I have been keeping in very close touch with the progress of the VCD receivership. I am informed that the receiver is continuing his efforts to dispose of the assets with the object of facilitating an early resumption of activity and employment at the yard. The receiver is in contact with certain parties at present. In the light of these discussions it would be inappropriate for me to make any further comment on the matter at this stage.
