In determining the level of funding to be provided for any state organisation, account must be taken of budgetary realities. The funding being provided to CBF for the year 1986 will practically match the amount which CBF sought for that year in the context of its five year development plan 1986-90. It involves an increase of 39 per cent in the grant-in-aid over the 1985 level.
