An inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks. The grant will be paid if the inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been fulfilled.

Following further investigation, it has now been established that the payment of a grant of £2,000 is appropriate in this case. Payment of the additional amount due will be made in the next few weeks.

A maximum bathroom grant of £800 has been approved in this case. A fabric grant was paid in November 1983 and a waiting period of seven years from that date must elapse before an application for a similar grant under category (f) of the current scheme can be considered. While it appears on the basis of the works necessary, that a pre-1940 dwellings grant would not apply, an inspection is being arranged within the next few weeks to clarify the position.
