I have not received any such communication. I should add that outdoor facilities such as athletic tracks are not eligible for assistance under the terms and conditions of my Department's capital grant scheme.
I understand, however, that under the Department of the Environment's new amenities scheme Galway Corporation have recently been allocated a grant of £100,000 towards the development of facilities in the area in question.
