Vol. 367 No. 8

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

40.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cavan has not been paid a £1,200 grant in respect of an extension to his house although work was finished before Christmas and passed by an inspector.

Payment of a sewerage grant for £200 will be arranged in the next few weeks. However, the grants approved for a bathroom and bedroom cannot be paid as the roofing work does not meet the constructional standards specified by the Departmetn. The applicant has been so informed.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant inspection will take place for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

An inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks with a view to approval of a grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an inspection for a house improvement grant will take place for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

Notificaton has issued to this applicant authorising him to proceed with the works in respect of which his application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when he applied for the grant. However, in view of the request by the applicant an inspection will be arranged within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a prior inspection for a house improvement grant application will take place to determine the level of approval for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

Notification has issued to this applicant authorising her to proceed with the works in respect of which her application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when she applied for the grant. However, as requested, an inspection will be arranged within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a prior inspection for a house improvement grant application of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will take place; and if he will ensure that an appointment card is issued to her because the house is unoccupied.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. There is, however, an application from a person of the same surname and address but with a different Christian name. In that case notification has issued authorising the applicant to proceed with the works in respect of which her application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when she applied for the grant. However, as requested, an inspection will be arranged within the next few weeks.
