A proposal to provide a slipway at Portmore pier, Malin Head, County Donegal has recently been received from Donegal County Council. An engineering report and estimate of cost will be required in order that an economic assessment of the proposal can be made. Until the report is available I cannot say what expenditure, if any, would be justified in the fisheries interest.
