There are no plans for the development of a further pulpwood based industry anywhere in the country at present. I would, however, be hopeful that supplies of pulpwood thinnings and sawmill residues in the northwest region may be sufficient to justify the establishment of another such industry in the foreseeable future and this will be considered as the raw material supply situation develops. Needless to say in that connection I shall bear the position of County Donegal in mind as a possible location.
