No applications had been received up to 21 November 1986, from County Westmeath, for the £2,250 new house grant scheme. By that date 2,642 applications had been received from County Westmeath under the current house improvement grant scheme and 401 grants had been paid up to end October. A breakdown is not available of the number of these applications or grants which relate to the Mullingar area.
