I understand that the road in question is located partly in Waterford city and partly in the county and that it is an urban/county road.
Primary responsibility for the planning and execution of any improvement works on these roads, including the timing and provision of the necessary finance, rests with the local authorities concerned who may, at their discretion, use the block grant for roads paid annually by my Department to supplement expenditure from their own resources.
