asked the Minister for the Environment the number of houses owned by the two local authorities in Dublin city and county, which lack any one of the following basic facilities: (a) cold water supply, (b) hot water supply, (c) internal toilet, (d) bath or fixed shower, and (e) wash hand basin; and if he will provide the funds necessary for the installation of the above basic facilities.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question Nos. 7 and 10 on 3 December 1986 about the funding of improvement works to local authority dwellings. Information supplied by Dublin Corporation and County Council to my Department showed that at 31 December 1985 the number of rented dwellings which lacked adequate sanitary facilities was as follows:
