The main proposal in the submission from the Racing Board concerns the rate of levy on off-course betting. This is a matter for the Minister for Finance in the first instance.
I am at present examining the thoroughbred industry, including racing, following the recommendations of the Killanin Commission and proposals from the Racing Board will, of course, be considered in that context.
