The relatively small numbers of unemployed persons in the Currow area would not justify the provision of an employment exchange. The present arrangements whereby claimants for unemployment benefit and assistance sign at a local Garda signing centre, on a once weekly basis, and receive payment at their local post office, are regarded as satisfactory.
