116.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the amounts of grants approved for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7; if he will approve a separate water supply; and when payment will be made.

Maximum grants amounting to £2,800 have been approved for the building of an extension and a bathroom subject to the receipt of planning permission and building by-law approval. Certain additional information has recently been requested from the applicant in connection with her application for a water and sewerage grant. Accordingly payment of a grant does not arise at this stage.

On receipt of the inspector's report, the question of grant approval will be considered further.

118.

The first instalment of the mortgage subsidy will be paid when the person named submits to my Department the appropriate claim form, duly completed and certified by the lending agency.

119.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a home improvement grant to persons (details supplied) in County Louth as an inspection was carried out in October 1986; and when payment will be made.

Grants amounting to £2,257 will be paid in this case within the next few weeks in respect of sewerage (£400), bathroom (£800) and fabric repairs (£1,057). The roof pitch on the extension does not meet the Department's specifications and payment of this grant has been deferred pending a further report from the Department's supervising inspector.
