The selection of applications for the scheme from over-subscribed areas was based on the date of receipt in the Department of the applications i.e. on a "first come first served" basis. The application of the person referred to was not received until after the "cut off" date for his co-op. He will be eligible for consideration for the cessation scheme to apply from 1 April 1988.
