asked the Minister for Energy the amount of fees outstanding and unpaid by his Department and each semi-State body, local authority or health board under the aegis of his Department, to architects, quantity surveyors and consulting engineers at 30 April 1987, giving a breakdown showing the length of time for which the various fees are outstanding and unpaid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There were no fees outstanding and unpaid by my Department in respect of services rendered by architects, quantity surveyors and consulting engineers as of 30 April, 1987.

In relation to the bodies under the aegis of my Department, the information sought by the Deputy comes within the ambit of the day-to-day activities of those bodies and as such I have no function in that regard.

asked the Minister for the Marine the amount of fees outstanding and unpaid by his Department and each semi-State body, local authority or health board under the aegis of his Department, to architects, quantity surveyors, consulting engineers at 30 April 1987, giving a breakdown showing the length of time for which the various fees are outstanding and unpaid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

So far as my Department is concerned the only sum outstanding and unpaid is £3,000 due by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara to architects and quantity surveyors. These fees are outstanding for approximately 12 months and will be payable as soon as certain matters concerning completion of the contract in question have been resolved.
