The Eastern Health Board funds the existing child care worker post in Bennicasa special school, Blackrock. The board is not in a position to provide a replacement child care worker while the present child care worker is on maternity leave. Her maternity leave commenced at the end of April. The school will close for the summer holidays at the end of June and she is expected to resume duty after the school holiday in September.
