The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the taxpayer did not make a claim for repayment of tax in respect of the year to which the question refers, namely, 1977-78. The inspector has now reviewed the taxpayer's liability for that year and an overpayment has emerged. A cheque in settlement will be issued to the taxpayer as soon as possible.
