I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this was an application for registration of title, based on possession, under section 49 of the Registration of Title Act, 1964. There have been long delays in processing applications such as this partly because there is a backlog awaiting attention and partly because such applications are usually of a complex legal nature often involving extensive correspondence with solicitors. Registration in this case was finalised on 11 May 1987. There was no undue delay in the Land Registry.
