Vol. 373 No. 14

Written Answers. - Television Aerial Companies Charges.

58.

asked the Minister for Communications if he has satisfied himself that the prices charged by licensed communal television aerial companies operating in the Dublin area are reasonable, having regard to the rate of price inflation from the period 1970 to 1985, and the monopoly which the licensed companies enjoy; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

In the light of the information I gave to the Deputy on 23 June 1987 in response to a question on charges for cable television I can say that I am satisfied that the prices charged by cable television companies in Dublin are reasonable.
