There has been no undue delay by my Department in dealing with this case. The group have not yet supplied my Department with design data for their scheme in the format required. When this data has been furnished, the group's proposals will be given further consideration.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make arrangements for payment of an instalment of a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny where the first stage of the work is now completed, where the applicant is unable to proceed further with the work because of financial difficulties and where the inspector promised when he called to have the first stage payment made; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
As all necessary works have been completed, the grant will be paid as soon as possible. The applicant has been so informed.

Following the receipt of additional information from the applicant a further inspection is now being arranged.
