In a letter to various health agencies outlining their non-capital allocation for 1988 each agency was asked to submit by 1 December 1987 a budget schedule detailing how they planned to live within their allocation.
Until such time as I have had an opportunity to study these proposals I am not in a position to give the details requested by the Deputy.
I do not envisage that any hospitals, apart from those already scheduled for closure, will close in 1988.
