I have not yet taken over the running of the harbour works in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin. The matter is the subject of ongoing discussions with the Office of Public Works. In regard to the concerns of those employed in the harbour a meeting was held with representatives of the workers on 12 January, 1988 at which my Department's position was outlined.
