The statutory responsibility for the organisation of the VECs' educational schemes rests with the committees themselves. For the purpose of servicing the approved courses conducted by the VECs, my Department authorise allocations of teaching posts each year. The deployment of teaching staff within these authorised allocations in accordance with the requirements of the VECs' educational schemes is the responsibility of the VECs.
