Because of the pressure on the capital funds available to my Department for the national schools building programme, it will not be possible at present to advance further the architectural planning of a proposed permanent extension to the County Cork school referred to, which had been listed for the preparation of sketch plans.
My Department recently sanctioned a grant towards the cost of providing two prefabricated classrooms at the school. Tenders are about to be sought for this accommodation.
