I presume that by the term "pay-beds in public hospitals" the Deputy is referring to private and semi-private accommodation in such hospitals.
Information in the detail required by the Deputy has not been compiled by the VHI for 1983 and 1984. No information is collected by the board on the number of beds in approved nursing homes. The other information requested by the Deputy is set out in the table below.
