asked the Minister for the Environment in view of the indefinite deferment of an approved grant of £60,000 from Dublin County Council to the Kilnamanagh Residents' Association for the construction of a community hall and in view of the fact that the project as a result, now stands in jeopardy, if he will supplement the grant of £166,000 from the Department of Education with a grant from his Department so that the project can continue.

An application for a grant in respect of this project has been received. Under the conditions of the scheme, grants may not be allocated to projects which are being grant assisted by any other Government Department. Accordingly, I will not be able to give a grant in this case since the project is already being assisted under the capital grants scheme for the provision of recreational facilities operated by the Department of Education.
