Vol. 379 No. 7

Written Answers. - Navan Hospital Scanner.

55.

asked the Minister for Health if he has received a request from the North Eastern Health Board on behalf of the Friends of Our Lady's Hospital towards a scanner for Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, County Meath; if so, when a decision will be made on the matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have received an application from the North Eastern Health Board, dated 25 March 1988, seeking a contribution from the Health allocation of national lottery proceeds towards the purchase of a scanner for Our Lady's Hospital, Navan. I expect to be in a position to reach a decision regarding the distribution of these moneys in the near future and the successful agencies will be notified immediately at that stage.
