I am informed by the Garda authorities that three facsimile machines are in use at Garda Headquarters. Facsimile machines are not at present provided at other Garda centres but the whole Garda communications system is at present being updated. The examination that is in progress will determine to what extent the existing telex network should be supplemented by FAX transmission facilities.
