The western package as operated to date does not have an off-farm income eligibility limit for grant purposes. A revised programme to implement the new package is at present in the course of preparation with a view to having it approved by the EC Commission as early as possible. The Deputy will appreciate that in the circumstances it would not be possible to disclose details at this stage. However, it is my intention to design the various schemes under the programme in such a way as to ensure they will be availed of to the greatest possible extent.
