The granting of financial assistance to organisations such as this, which provide a service within a certain area, is a matter for the local health board, which is in the best position to assess the need for the service and the contribution which the particular organisation is making in the provision of that service. The centre received a grant of £1,000 from the South Eastern Health Board in 1987 and is being considered for a further grant this year.
