Vol. 380 No. 10

Written Answers. - Limerick Corporation Sewerage Scheme.

119.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the most recent set of plans submitted to his Department for the Rheloyne-Dublin Road sewerage scheme, Limerick, by Limerick Corporation; if his Department received the plans; if they are satisfactory; and the action, if any, he proposes to take to expedite the scheme.

I assume the Deputy is referring to the Rhebogue-Singland sewerage scheme. Further information in relation to the revised proposals that have been submitted by Limerick Corporation is awaited in my Department. Having regard to the overall cost of this scheme and the capital available this year for the sanitary services programme, it is not possible, at this stage, to indicate when funds can be made available to finance it.
