asked the Minister for the Environment if he will have an environmental impact analysis carried out as per annex 2 section 10J of the environmental impact directive of the EC which comes into effect here after 1 July 1988 on the proposal to construct a yacht marina in the coal harbour, Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin.

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Questions Nos. 14 and 33 of 8 June 1988 in which I indicated that the arrangements for implementing Directive 85/337/EEC will provide, in compliance with Article 4.2 thereof, for the carrying out of environmental impact assessments for those types of projects mentioned in Annex II of the directive judged likely to have significant effects on the environment. Proposals for giving effect to the requirements of the directive are being developed in my Department.
